General Info
Marco is the first child of a couple of heavy metal musicians. He was born in Rio de Janerio, during their first tour ever and then started travelling with them as a baby. They lived in Ankara for a while when they weren't touring and then after a Day of the Dead in Glasgow, they all moved there and became citizens. He mostly grew up there, when he fell in love with his wife and bandmate Serenity Burns after he met her when she was a younger friend of his mother.
When he was 16, he met a little orphan boy, Sisu during a Helsinki visit and adopted him. He changed his surname to his, not the other way around.
Besides his music career, Marco has been working for the law enforcement for many years. First, he became a police officer in London after a short while he became 16. He had to quit the job for his tours but he kept working as an agent.
As Serenity on Fire, his electronic music band decided to take a long break from touring, he got a police officer job from Glasgow this time. He has always felt that he wanted to go back to Glasgow but he couldn't manage to do that. While he was in Glasgow, he lost his entire family (except Sisu) in a plane crash. It took years to get over it, at least enough for not to want to hill himself.
He had a son with his second bandmate and wife, Floor Jansen. His name is Mark Jansen-Hietala. They decided to end their marriage and even after their son became an adult, they stayed friends. They see each other on stage from time to time.
Nowadays, he's in her mother's heavy metal band The Abyss and works as a judge in Glasgow. He is actually the Chief of Justice. It's a pretty tight schedule but he loves them both.
